This patient was canoeing down the River Wye in his new Maui Jim sunglasses….. “The day was bright and sunny and from the start the river environment was vivid and sparkling viewed through my Maui Jim sunglasses. In particular the river became three dimensional ….I could see through the water, the stones and boulders as well as underwater plants and occasional fish. All the colours were sharpened and any glare on the water surface removed so my canoeing experience was enhanced. The high point of my day was a magic moment when an adult otter streamlined under the water …..then a young otter blasted off downstream. Without my Maui Jim sunglasses I would not have seen the otters or even been aware of their presence.”
