Colourimetry

Some children experience learning difficulties which may be exacerbated by subtle visual problems. Our practice has developed a reputation for a caring approach with these patients and we will endeavour to identify and rectify any ocular factors. In addition to a detailed eye examination, tests might include ocular muscle balance, eye dominance or coloured overlays.

Colourimetry can also be beneficial in some patients. Colourimetry involves an objective assessment of colour hue and saturation under controlled conditions and provides a very specific tint for spectacles.

A Colourimetry assessment will only be done following a full eye examination.

Certain adults who experience visual migraine symptoms may also benefit from a colourimetry assessment.
